Enefit 2025: A year that brought energy and opened up new opportunities

Enefit is a company for the people of Estonia

Enefit belongs to Estonia and to the people of Estonia. Our work and every cent we earn goes back to where it is needed most – to schools, hospitals, emergency services and teachers, to culture, and to many other areas that help sustain Estonia’s spirit and sense of security. Thank you for being our customer and for contributing to our shared future!

Customers are our energy

With you, 2025 was a year full of positive energy. We experienced special moments in every interaction with our customers. This gave us extra energy for our day-to-day work. The results of our relationship survey included particularly genuine and heartfelt comments about our people who interact with you every day and help find solutions. In addition, you highly value the simplicity of our self-service and the convenient management of your contracts. We are working hard in 2026 to ensure that your experience remains simple and positive in this complex energy sector. We are sincerely grateful that we can create these special memories together with you.

Electricity market and new solutions

Connecting the Baltic electricity network to the unified European electricity system brought independence from Russia to the electricity market. This also introduced a new cost related to maintaining the balance of the electricity system, which will be shown as a separate line item on your electricity invoice. At the same time, we also saw consumer-friendly negative hourly prices during the summer, as solar and wind power are shaping electricity prices more than ever before.

We are always looking for ways to make energy consumption more affordable and easier for customers to manage. In 2025, we launched a new electricity package that sets both a price cap and a price floor on the market price. This package protects against unexpected price spikes while still allowing customers who value flexibility to schedule their consumption smartly.

Electric vehicle charging is becoming faster and more convenient

In 2025, Enefit’s electric vehicle charging service grew significantly. The charging network expanded by 40%, surpassing 1,600 charging connectors. A significant part of this expansion came from rapid chargers built with support from the Connecting Europe Facility, enabling drivers to add up to 100 kilometres of range in just 10 minutes. Across the home markets, customers charged nearly 6,000 MWh of electricity into their vehicles, almost twice as much as in the previous year. With this amount of electricity, it is possible to drive approximately 29 million kilometres.

We improved the reliability and convenience of the service by adding bank card payments and Autocharge, which enables automatic charging to start. We also removed the night-time tariff for chargers up to 100 kW. We opened the Baltics’ first public charger equipped with battery storage in Tallinn. At the Green Park development in Tartu, we opened Estonia’s first weather-resistant electric vehicle charging hub.

In Lithuania, the charging network surpassed 600 connectors, and new rapid chargers were installed in Vilnius. In Latvia, the user base grew, and a significant event took place – the Enefit EV Rally, which brought together 200 participants. In Poland, we expanded the service to strategic locations, including the Riviera Gallery shopping centre.

We contributed to education and the community

In 2025, we continued to promote engineering and advance the natural sciences:

  • The Energy Discovery Centre was visited over 42,000 times, a new permanent exhibition on solar energy was opened, and the EnerHUB incubator was launched.
  • Through the ‘Lae end’ programme, we supported 20 teachers and equipped schools with €40,000 worth of new materials.
  • We contributed to the ‘Rakett69’ television series and to the energy education event Positron, which brought together nearly 10,000 young people.
  • Solaride III Enefit achieved second place at a solar car competition held in Australia!

In addition, we celebrated the 20th anniversary of Estonian Health Trails. There are now 130 trails across Estonia, which were visited 7.6 million times. We installed the first electric vehicle chargers at health trails, allowing people to charge two batteries at the same time while staying active.

Thank you for being with us – your trust is our greatest source of energy!
