The President Honors Enefit Power Management Board Member Aleksandr Jefremov with a State Decoration
On the eve of the Republic of Estonia’s Independence Day, the Estonian state expresses its gratitude with state decorations to people whose work and dedication have helped Estonia grow in spirit—becoming greater and better, wiser and more caring, more secure and more enterprising. This year, 203 people from Estonia and abroad will receive a state decoration. One of the honorees is our colleague, Enefit Power’s Management Board member Aleksandr Jefremov.

“This is a great honor for me, but also a responsibility. I am extremely pleased that the work of energy professionals is being recognized—despite the challenges, we fight for every megawatt to ensure Estonia’s energy security. Work is an inseparable part of my life—it gives me energy, and I wholeheartedly embrace all the joys and challenges that come with it,” said Aleksandr.
The year 2025 was special for Aleksandr and for all of Enefit Power. Several major and highly impactful projects were carried out with his involvement. The first of these was the disconnection from the Russian energy system. Together with his team, Aleksandr was responsible for ensuring that Estonia’s, the Baltic States’, and the Auvere power plants were prepared to provide the necessary capacity during critical periods. On the day of synchronization with the Continental European frequency grid, February 9th—when the Baltic States operated in island mode—nearly 50% of Estonia’s total electricity production came from Enefit Power’s power plants. This confirms their significant role in our energy system.
Thanks to Aleksandr’s contribution and high level of expertise, the operating regimes of the power plants were controlled and environmental requirements were met throughout 2025.
